Tile questions
Porcelain or ceramic?
Porcelain is denser and tougher, which makes it great for floors. Ceramic works well in lighter-use rooms.
How long until we can use the room?
Usually 24–48 hours after grouting.
Why does tile need a membrane or backer board?
Houses move a little, but tile doesn't flex. A membrane or backer board gives the tile a stable base, which helps prevent cracked tiles and grout.
